Russian Defense: An act of sabotage triggered the explosion of an ammo storage in Crimea this morning.

The explosions that occurred this morning at an ammunition store in northern Crimea, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, were the product of sabotage.
In a statement regarding the explosions near the town of Maiskoye in the Jankoy district in the peninsula’s north, the Russian defence ministry claimed that a military store was destroyed on the morning of August 16 as a result of an act of sabotage.

A power line, a power plant, a train, and several homes in the area were also reportedly destroyed, according to the statement.
The declaration attested to the fact that no serious injuries occurred and that actions are being taken to lessen the effects of the sabotage operation.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said that ammunition detonated as a consequence of a fire that broke out this morning at a temporary storage facility in a military unit in Maiskoye.

Authorities confirmed that more than 3,000 people had been evacuated by saying that two civilians suffered non-life-threatening injuries and that efforts were being made to get locals out of the affected area.
