The number of fatalities from a Sunday explosion and fire at the wholesale market Surmalo in the capital has increased to 15, according to the Armenian Ministry of Emergencies, who made the announcement today, Tuesday.
15 people, including a child, were found dead, emergency personnel discovered, according to a statement from the ministry.
In addition to the 18 people still missing, including an Iranian and a Russian, nine victims have not yet been recognised.

Over 60 people were hurt during the disaster, and 12 of them are currently receiving medical care.

The explosion at the retail centre in Yerevan has already claimed 15 lives.
