The Russian Air Force is carrying out strikes in northwestern Syria

The Russian Center for National Reconciliation in Syria’s vice president, Major General Oleg Igorov, said that the Russian Air Force targeted a training camp in Syria and killed over 100 militants.
According to Igorov, in the northwestern regions of Syria, which is controlled by Turkey, the clashes between the militants in the Afrin and Azaz regions continue against the backdrop of the redistribution of the areas of influence of Syria.

“To combat terrorist organisations, the Russian Air Force launched air attacks on an unlawful command centre and a militant training camp in a 1. 3 km2 region northeast of the town of Katama,” Igorov stated.
Igorov claimed that 15 vehicles carrying heavy machine guns and “launch platforms” as well as the command centre, warehouses with weapons, ammo, and equipment, as well as the camp headquarters, had all been completely destroyed.

Strikes are being carried out in northwest Syria by the Russian Air Force.
