Human rightsmen: The number of dead protests in Iran reached 240 people, including 32 children

Herna’s news site, which is concerned with human rights in Iran, announced that, according to its sources, the number of dead protests at the hands of the Iranian security forces has reached 240, including 32 children.
Herna has updated its statistics on the protest victims from the time between September 17 and October 15 as of today, Sunday, October 16.

These figures show that while putting down the massive public rallies, 26 members of the Iranian security forces have been murdered thus far.
The “Hranna” news website reported that 738 detainees have been identified, including 175 university students, at a time when the Iranian regime has not disclosed the precise number of those detained in connection with the recent protests.

453 protests have reportedly been planned in 111 cities and 73 institutions, according to the “Hranna” newspaper.
It should be recalled that the recent protests in Iran started approximately a month ago, following the murder of the young Kurdish woman Muhsa Amini by members of the country’s “Ethics Police.”
The young woman, Mhisa Amini, was detained by an Iranian “Ethics Police” patrol for wearing a “incomplete” veil.

Before declaring her death, she transported her to a police detention centre.
Governmental institutions repeatedly said that Muhsa died without anybody being exposed to, despite the fact that the Muhsa Amini family is adamant that their daughter’s death was caused by a blow to the head.
It is significant that the Iranian parliament’s final report on Muhsa Amini’s murder relied on the forensic report, which said that her death was not the result of a hit to the head or any other part of the body.

The Iranian parliament demanded in its report that those who disagreed with the regime’s version of Muhsa Amini’s murder be put on trial.
The Iranian parliament also stated in this report that the Mesa Amini family refused to go to Parliament despite the repeated calls from the UNHCR and Representatives..

32 children were among the 240 protestors who died in Iran, according to human rights activists.
