The Abu Seif Church caught fire on Sunday morning, according to reports from the Egyptian Church, killing 41 people and wounding 14.
The fire originated in the air conditioning on the second floor of the church building owing to an electrical issue, according to the Egyptian Ministry of Interior.
She said, “The fire was put out, and the injured and deceased were evacuated and taken to hospitals.”
Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the president of Egypt, asked that all necessary procedures be taken right away following the tragedy.
For his part, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly is coordinating the efforts of various parties to provide the accident victims with the necessary medical care as well as means of support and care.
Madbouly stated in a statement that the government is fully supportive of the victims families. .
