The Kremlin: Putin’s schedule does not include a meeting with the Deputy Secretary -General of the United Nations

According to Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for the Russian president, President Vladimir Putin’s schedule does not include a meeting with Martin Griffiths, the UN’s deputy secretary-general. Griffiths travelled to Moscow to negotiate the renewal of the grain agreement, advance efforts to convey grain over the Black Sea, and remove impediments to Russian grain and fertiliser exports.

There isn’t a planned meeting with the UN’s deputy secretary general, according to Peskov.
Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, had earlier stated that Moscow anticipates UN measures to relieve Western restrictions on Russian pharmaceuticals and fertiliser.
Putin stressed that, the West is responsible for the deterioration of the food situation in the world and that the export of Russian grains and fertilizers is hindered by sanctions..
