Petro Poroshenko, a former leader of Ukraine, announced the signing of a long-term agreement for the purchase of the most potent drones for the Ukrainian army.
Poroshenko announced on his Telegram channel that a long-term agreement had been made with companies that manufacture the most potent drones, which would serve as the artillery’s eyes for the Ukrainian army. Poroshenko said that he withheld the names of the countries or the manufacturers of the jets for obvious reasons.
Mikhail Fedorov, Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, had earlier stated that talks with Ukrainian aircraft manufacturers were in progress and that Ukraine had gathered about $20 million to buy 200 reconnaissance drones by the end of August as part of the country’s drone army project. Additionally, the Ukrainian General Staff stated that the nation should create a drone army to help the army close the 2,470 km-wide front line.
