Reuters, LONDON, October 15 – In a thrilling Premier League match on Saturday at Craven Cottage, Aleksandar Mitrovic scored from the penalty spot on his comeback from injury to earn a 2-2 draw for Fulham against Bournemouth.
Dominic Solanke gave the visitors a flying start, combining brilliantly with Danish midfielder Philip Billing and rifling home a first-time finish after 62 seconds.
In the 22nd minute, Mitrovic, who was playing through an ankle injury, exploded into life with a snap shot that was turned aside, and Issa Diop scored Fulham’s equaliser with a powerful header from the ensuing corner.
Seven minutes later, Bournemouth regained the lead as Fulham made a defensive error. Solanke ran at Tim Ream before cutting the ball back to Jefferson Lerma, who beat Bernd Leno with a shot.

Mitrovic, a 28-year-old Serbian striker, scored his seventh goal of the season from the penalty spot after Lerma wrestled him to the ground early in the second half for Fulham.
With Bournemouth content to sit back, Fulham poured crosses into the box, but a tiring Mitrovic struggled to convert them.
He came close to giving his team all three points in stoppage time, but his left-foot shot that was aimed in the top corner lacked the force to beat Neto, and he dragged another chance wide.

I’ve been informed Jefferson is holding Mitrovic, but I have no idea why Mitrovic is falling backwards,” he told the BBC.
