Russian researchers demonstrated a dog-shaped robot capable of rescue, reconnaissance, and military operations at the Army-2022 symposium.

Representatives of the Russian company Intellect Machine, which works in the fields of robotics, weapons, and artificial intelligence, stated on the subject, “The M-81 robotic complex can be relied on for civilian purposes, such as rescue and reconnaissance missions in disaster areas, as well as the delivery of aid and medicine to those areas, and this can be used for civilian purposes.”

The robot is for military use since it can shoot and detect targets, and it may be employed in reconnaissance and patrol operations, as well as weapon and ammo transfers.

Representatives of the company stated that their robots of this type have derived some of their distinguishing advantages from the animal world in order to perform certain tasks, and as a result, they are somewhat similar to dogs, and that Intellect Machine intends to establish a complex for the production of these robots in Russia.

This year’s Army-2022 event will be held from August 15 to 21, at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center, as well as at Kubica Airport and Camp Alabino on Moscow’s outskirts.
