Ukraine: The deaths of the Russian army have risen to 65,000 since the start of the military operation

The Ukrainian army said today, on Sunday, that since the commencement of the military action on February 24, there have been over 65,000 deaths among Russian forces.

According to the Ukrainian (Yukernemphm) news agency, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that during this time, Russia also lost 16 warships, 143 units of special equipment, 3 thousand and 9951 vehicles, fuel tanks, 1589 artillery systems, 268 aircraft, 242 helicopters, 1224 aircraft without pilots, and 5 thousand and 193 armoured vehicles.

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, issued an order on February 24 to launch a special military operation in Ukraine. He noted that this action was in response to a request for assistance from the leaders of the Donbas republics.
Putin emphasised that Moscow does not intend to take Ukrainian territory but rather to disarm; in response, the United States and its allies imposed tight sanctions and expanded their shipments of weaponry to Ukraine.

Since the start of the military action in Ukraine, the Russian army has lost 65,000 soldiers.
