In the Arab Republic of Egypt, “gasoline prices today” has been the most popular search term recently, particularly in the days prior to the Automatic Pricing Committee meeting at the Ministry of Petroleum.
In light of the high prices of goods around the world as a result of Russia’s most recent war on Ukraine, the Automatic Pricing Committee of the Ministry of Petroleum announced at its previous quarterly meeting that it would increase the prices of gasoline and diesel by a value ranging from 50 Egyptian pounds to the full amount.
The pricing of new gasoline will be implemented during the present month of October 2022, as is known, and will be revealed in a few days, during the final quarter of this year.
In a related matter, dependable sources within the General Petroleum Authority have disclosed that the committee has already completed formulating the new gasoline and diesel price structure. The decision was published in the Egyptian Official Gazette and will take effect in 3 months.
1. A litre of gasoline now costs 8 pounds rather than 7.50 pounds.
2- A litre of gasoline went up in price from 92 to 9.
instead of 8.75 pounds, 25 pounds.
3. Instead of going up 9. 75 pounds, the cost of a litre of gasoline in 1995 jumped by 10. 75 pounds.
4- The cost of a litre of diesel rose by 50 cents per litre to 7.25 pounds from 6.75 pounds.
The price of diesel reached 5000 pounds per ton for all industries, except for diesel prices supplied to food and electricity industries, which remained fixed at 4600 pounds per ton..
