Putin: We will take steps to make the world a more democratic place.

According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the world is changing rapidly as more and more countries and peoples opt for self-sufficiency.

This was stated in Russian President Vladimir Putin’s address to the Tenth Moscow International Security Conference, which took place this morning, Tuesday, August 16, and referred to Russia’s insistence on strengthening its armed forces and other security structures, as well as taking steps to help build a more democratic world that protects all peoples’ rights and ensures their cultural and civilizational diversity.

Putin stated that the United States of America is attempting to divert attention away from acute problems, whereas the elites of Western globalisation are attempting to divert attention away from low living standards, unemployment, and poverty in order to shift blame to Russia and China, which defend their vision and view of adopting sovereign development rather than submission to supranational elites’ dictates.

The West is attempting to force independent countries to obey their will and live by the rules of others in order to maintain its hegemony and intrude on those countries, according to Putin, as the United States of America and its supporters openly interfere in the internal affairs of sovereign countries by organising provocations, coups, civil wars, threats, and blackmail.

Regarding US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, Putin stated that it is nothing more than a well-planned provocation, part of a well-planned US strategy to destabilise the situation in the area. Rather, it is an open display of contempt for other countries’ sovereignty.

Putin claimed that the West is attempting to generalise a NATO-style model to the Asia-Pacific area, in which hostile military-political alliances, such as the AUKUS alliance, are established for this purpose, and that the West intends to expand its bloc system to the Asia-Pacific region.

It is clear that only by fundamentally strengthening the multipolar world order will it be possible to reduce global tensions, overcome threats and risks in the military and political spheres, increase trust between countries, and ensure their long-term development, he added, emphasising that the world’s current globalisation model is doomed.

In the event that the status quo is maintained, he stated that Russia will cooperate with its friends, partners, and like-minded governments to strengthen existing international security mechanisms and develop new ones.

Putin emphasised that Russia launched its own military action in strict accordance with the United Nations Charter, as the operation’s objectives were clearly and precisely defined, namely, to ensure the security of the Russian state and people, as well as to protect the Donbass population from genocide.

Putin: We will take measures to make the globe more democratic.
