Mason Greenwood, a striker for Manchester United, was detained on suspicion of breaking the sponsorship’s rules.
According to the British Press Agency, the 21-year-old was detained for the first time in January following accusations that he had raped a minor after images and videos of the alleged crime went viral online.
He was questioned regarding the alleged death threats as well.
Since then, Greenwood has been freed on bond.
An arrest was made today, Saturday, October 15, 2022, according to a police spokeswoman. “The Greater Manchester Police is aware of charges linked to a 21-year-old man breaking his bail conditions,” the spokesman stated.
The investigations are ongoing, he continued.
Greenwood was prevented from playing or taking part in practise with Manchester United hours after the claims began to circulate online at the beginning of the year. Greenwood had played one international match for the English national team.
