Due to the rise in feed prices, egg prices in Egypt’s local market continued to rise during trade on Saturday. The price of a carton of eggs hit record highs of 80 to 85 pounds, and in some stores, it even reached 90 pounds.
For municipal egg dishes, white egg dishes, and red egg dishes, farm prices for eggs increased to record highs of 68 pounds, 72 pounds, and 75 pounds, respectively.
Due to the high cost of packaging materials, transportation costs, and the valley of the high prices of eggs on the farm, consumer egg prices have seen significant increases, with the price of red egg cartons reaching 85 pounds, the price of white egg dishes reaching 80 pounds, and the price of municipal white eggs increasing to 82 EGP.
