Manchester City announced today, Friday, the extension of the contract of its young star Phil Vodin, for a period of 3 years, to continue with the team until 2027, especially as it is one of the main elements in the formation of Spanish technical director Pep Guardiola.
Voden remarked after signing the new contract, “It is impossible to put into words how delighted I am by signing this contract is that it has become a reality.
“I was a City supporter my entire life, I trained here for many years, and I even played soccer,” he continued. Knowing that I’ll be a part of this group through 2027 is wonderful because I enjoy it so much.
He continued: “I have improved a lot in recent years, thanks to Guardiola and his assistants, who guide me every day in the field of training. The greatest way for me to continue to develop as a player is by working with them.
“I want to thank everyone in City because without them I would not be where I am today, he said in his closing statement. All the Academy coaches I worked with, all the players I played with them, and all the staff members. Being a member of this football team is an honour.
The 22-year-old Voden won 11 championships with Manchester City, including four Premier League titles, the FA Cup, four league cups, and two community shields. He also represented England in 18 international matches.
Officially, Manchester City extends teenage star Vodin’s contract till 2027.
