The Prince of Poets is a novel .. 3 novels written by Ahmed Shawky .. most notably the Virgin of India

Today marks the 90th anniversary of the death of Ahmed Shawky, known as the Prince of Poets. He died on October 14, 1932, at the age of 64, after achieving tyrannical prominence in the poetry and literature worlds.

Since he had the experience of writing a number of theatrical texts to present on the stage in the twenties of the previous century, Ahmed Shawky was known for his numerous poems and collections, the most well-known of which was probably “Al -Shawqiyat.” However, it’s possible that people are unaware of the fact that “Shawky” also fought in the field of narrative art.

Prior to penning his poetic plays, Ahmed Shawky battled the realm of novel art. As a result, he wrote the novels “The Virgin of India,” “Ladias,” and “Del and Timan” in 1897, 1899, and 1899, respectively.
History is a creation of reality, according to Virgin of India
This novel was first published on episodes in Al -Ahram newspaper in 1897 AD, and then its first edition was published in a book in the same year, by Al -Ahram Press in Alexandria.

The book is divided into three sections: the first has seven chapters, the second has twelve, and the third has seven. The Khedive, who was Shawky at the time and worked in his office, received the book as a present.

These events were included in two versions of the “Ladias” novel by Shawky. The first version was published as episodes in the magazine “En” from October 6, 1898, to April 26, 1899, and the first version of these events was published in the book in 1898 AD, on the literary and support press.

“Del and Timan,” a book
The second instalment of the “Ladias” events was first written in the book on Egyptian etiquette and customs in 1899 AD, and it was then republished by researcher Mahmoud as episodes in the Journal of Radio and Television starting on October 16, 1983.
The two books are referred to as the twenty-sixth family reign, following “Ashmatek I’s” expulsion of the Assyrian occupation in 663 BC.

Ahmed Shawky is the author of three books, including The Prince of Poets and The Virgin of India.
