Abdullatif Rashid, the newly elected president of Iraq, made a commitment today, on Friday, to work assiduously to defend the country’s sovereignty and constitution.
I would like to express my gratitude to all of the political parties and the representatives of the honourable Iraqi people for their support.
He added, “I pledge to work hard to protect the constitution, the sovereignty of the country and the interests of the people, and to be the head of all Iraqis without discrimination.
Abdul Latif Rashid was chosen by the Iraqi parliament to lead the country on Thursday.
The newly elected president of Iraq: I firmly promise to uphold the nation’s sovereignty and the constitution.
