Murray qualifies for the quarter -finals of the Gijon Open Tennis Championship

Andy Murray of the United Kingdom overcame a setback in a group match against Pedro Cacheen of Argentina to win 2/6, 7/5, and 7/6 (7/3) and go on his own to the quarterfinals of the Gijon Open Tennis Championship.
Murray, who was crowned with three titles in the four major Grand Salam tournaments, lost the first group that lasted for 56 minutes, but he then imposed his superiority to defeat his Argentine rival and qualify for the quarter -finals for the fourth time this season.

Murray will face American Sebastian Corda in the quarterfinals. Corda eliminated Spain’s Roberto Potista Agot, the tournament’s third seed, by scores of 5/7, 6/4, and 6/4.
