The Arab League praises Saudi Arabia’s balanced approach to the stability of energy markets

Following the announcement of the “OPEC+” decision to partially reduce oil production by the group’s members, the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, expressed his condemnation and rejection of what he perceived as a negative media campaign against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

These statements, according to the spokesperson for the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, “move away from the facts and are only based on full politicisation of purely economic decisions, which everyone knows is necessary for the stability of the global economy in light of the serious challenges it faces.

” He praised the balanced and well -known Saudi approach to the stability of oil markets, and the fixed and initial attitudes of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding regional and international political issues.
As of November, Saudi Arabia have disputed the allegations levelled at OPEC+ for failing to cut oil production by two million barrels per day.

According to a statement from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the action is only motivated by the coalition’s main objective, which is to maintain market stability and prevent swings.
The statements alleging the Kingdom’s bias in global wars were categorically rejected by the Kingdom. The Saudi Foreign Ministry declared that due to political animosity toward America, “the Kingdom refuses to consider the OPEC+ decision.

However, the White House believed that the decision by OPEC+ to limit output was not made for economic reasons, according to John Kirby, the communications coordinator.
US President Joe Biden expressed his disappointment about the plans announced by OPEC+ oil production, and said that the United States was studying the alternatives available to it.

While Foreign Minister Anthony Blinkin explained that Washington has declined to respond to OPEC’s decision+ and the impact this will have on relations with Saudi Arabia, the US President confirmed that he will speak with Saudi Arabia about the organization’s decision to reduce production and energy prices.

Saudi Arabia’s balanced approach to ensuring the stability of the energy markets is praised by the Arab League.
