There may be a goal to restrict Israeli fans from the World Cup, says France Football’s correspondent in Doha.

Zafarallah Al-Muadhdhin, a Doha-based journalist for France Football Middle East magazine, commented on why FIFA excluded Israel off the Qatar World Cup website in favour of the occupied Palestinian territories.
The muezzin declared during an interview with Ahmed Al-Jamal on Nas Online, “There is a discrepancy in this story.”

FIFA and the World Cup Organizing Committee in Qatar did not address this issue and did not issue a definitive statement; so far, the only replies have come from Israel, and we all know there are others. The concept is not to mix politics and sports, although FIFA may have made this choice because to Israel’s non-participation in the World Cup, but even if there had been participation, Israel would not have been removed off the FIFA map.

According to France Footballs reporter, there is still a misunderstanding between politics and sports. Everyone agrees that sports should be kept away from political debates and conflicts. It is also clear that there is a desire to exclude Israeli supporters who seek to attend the World Cup in Doha, which is legitimate and logical. Because Qatar and Israel do not have official relations.

According to France Football’s correspondent in Doha, there may be a purpose to keep Israeli fans out of the World Cup.
