The “100 years of Tutankhamun: Wonderful Effects” celebration that the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities started on its websites and on other social media platforms to mark the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the Golden Pharaoh Tutankhamun’s tomb is still going strong.
A big necklace with two yellow stones that were made of silica glass and taken out of the Libyan desert was unearthed by Howard Carter inside a box at the Golden King Cemetery. The necklace was also embellished with silver, gold, and precious stones.
Additionally, the necklace was embellished with different symbols from ancient Egyptian philosophy, such as the winged scarab, Ain Horus, lotus flowers, and cobra snakes.
