Learn about the winners of Victoria Book Awards for 2022

Circle The Victoria Book Awards, which begin each year in Canada and include the Victoria Book City Prize and the Victoria City City Award for Children’s Book, gave Issa Edogian and Windy Provence the highest distinction.
Edogian won the first prize for Out of the Sun: on Race and Storytelling, while Winigi Provence was awarded the award for Agie & Mudgy: The Journey of Two Kaska Dena Children.

According to the Times website, this was announced by Brian Battler at a ceremony conducted at the British Colombia Club, where both recipients received $ 5,000 awards for their contributions.
“These two awards are honored by their exceptional work in addressing important and complex topics in a way that stimulates thought and creativity, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to their contributions to the literary community in Victoria,” Helbs said in a statement.

Imagination, realism, and poetry published between April 2021 and March 2022 were included in the short list of the Victoria Petler City Prize for Book, which was assembled by local authors Barry Goff, Arlin Barry, Gregor Craigi, Amanda Swimer, and Edogian.
