The corporation in charge of moving traffic across the bridge said that the first electric train since the event crossed the Crimean Bridge without issue and that the electric trains running between Kerch and Naba will operate on a strict timetable in order to ease pressure on ferry traffic.
The company released the following statement: “We work according to the holiday schedule (an intensive table), and this is done to reduce Pressure on the movement of ferries. The first train from Kerch started this morning and arrived in Anaba, while another train from Anaba was launched to Kerch (between Crimea and the rest of the Russian lands).
Following a terrorist attack on the bridge last Saturday, the flow of trains across the Crimea Bridge was halted when a truck was exploded on the bridge, causing many gasoline tanks in a train that was traversing the bridge to catch fire.
Russian investigations showed that the Ukrainian intelligence stood behind the terrorist operation, and the Russian Federal Security Service said yesterday, Wednesday, that the authorities arrested 5 citizens from Russia, 3 from Ukraine and Armenia, all of whom were linked to the bombing.
