Warning: Some readers may find this narrative upsetting.
Lindy Yvonne Williams, a killer from Queensland, is requesting parole nine years after she killed her partner George Gerbic and dumped his decapitated remains by the side of the road before setting it ablaze.
2018 saw the conviction and imprisonment of the 69-year-old, but Gerbic’s head, hands, and legs have not been located.

When the victim’s body has not been discovered, parole shall be automatically denied to offenders found guilty of homicide offences under Queensland law.
However, if a prisoner has cooperated with investigators and given them the last known location of the victim’s remains, the Queensland Parole Board may grant parole.

The board stated in an email on Thursday that it would “hear the No Body No Parole part of the parole application made by Lindy Yvonne Williams who is subject to this Act” (local time).
Williams was convicted of killing Gerbic in their house in Gympie in September 2013 by a Brisbane Supreme Court jury.
Although it is unknown how Gerbic was killed, a jury rejected her defence that she had killed him accidently while trying to defend herself.

Williams then purchased an electric saw, dismembered him, dumped his torso on the side of an 80-kilometer road, and lit it ablaze.
She used her murdered lover’s email and phone accounts to send messages to his family and friends, giving the impression that he was still alive while de-stressing on an international trip.
The Brisbane Magistrates Court will hear Williams’ parole application on Friday (local time).

At a later time, the board will release its ruling on whether she “satisfactorily cooperated” with detectives looking into her crime to locate the victim.
