Dr.Ali Al-Moselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, instructed his availability of wheat from the Supply Commodities Authority for those who wish from (72% mills to produce pheno and tourism bread, and for baked manufacturers, sweets, and pasta) at a price of 8700 pounds per tonne, by applying for the Supply Commodities Authority. He made this announcement during his meeting with the President of the Chamber of Grain Industry and its Derivatives, representatives of pasta fact.
In a press release issued by the ministry today, Al-Moselhi emphasised that the goal of these measures is to maintain the availability and stability of the free flour prices required for the production of pheno and tourist bread as well as the pasta industry, given the crises the world is currently experiencing, the lack of supply chains as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian war, and the high prices of wheat in the world.
Al-Moselhi emphasised the necessity for advanced bakeries to obtain flour from 72% of authorised tourist bakeries and that the advanced pasta factories are contracting with the Holding Company for Food Industries to produce a pasta supplied for the benefit of ration goods in order to obtain the flour.
Al-Moselhi also noted that coordination had been made with the Central Bank Governor to provide the necessary financial credits for free and necessary imports of free production, noting that these procedures and those official government moves represented in the Ministry of Supply will contribute to controlling markets and prices for wheat and free flour and necessary to produce Free tourist bread, baked goods, sweets, pheno bread, and pasta industry.
