Real Madrid reassures Rudger’s injury and wears a face mask in El Clásico

Following the hard blow he took during the match against Shakhtar that required the application of 20 stitches to his forehead, the Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger underwent medical exams that determined he was not suffering from a facial injury. This was revealed on the team’s official website.
The athlete was permitted to take part in the El Clásico on Sunday and will play with a special mask to protect his face.

And Rudiger’s x-rays taken this morning by Real Madrid’s medical staff revealed that despite the hard blow he took while scoring the match-tying goal for the royal in the 95th minute, the player had not suffered a bone injury.

Rudgeger’s face measurements were taken to create an urgent mask so the German could enjoy his practise before deciding whether or not to play in the Sunday encounter against Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. Despite his recent injury, the player was not yet excluded from the match.
