Alexandria Library participates in the Zayed Book Fair

The ninth session of the Zayed Book is being held from October 12 to October 24 in the centre of Zayed, right next to the Faculty of Engineering, Zayed Branch, and the Library of Alexandria is taking part.
Under the direction of Major General Ahmed Rashid, the governor of Giza, and Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, the minister of culture, this significant cultural event will take place.

Additionally, the honoree of this session, the Syrian Arab Republic, introduced Syrian culture and strengthened cross-cultural ties through the Syrian Publishers Union. The exhibition’s protagonist was decided upon to be the international author Naguib Mahfouz.
At the Zayed Book Fair, the Library of Alexandria is selling its newest books, including “The Biovilian Design of the Al-Hamra Palace” by researcher and architect Ahmed Al-Rodsley.

The author attempts to demonstrate that the red architecture demonstrates a successful biological design, which in turn can have a good impact on human health and well-being. The book discusses the architecture of Granada from a new perspective related with a biophilic design.

The book explains how the biofeli design can be implemented through a practical example with distinctive cultural and historical dimensions, as well as the indication of the expected influence of Al-Hamra architecture on the health and well-being of its visitors. Architects and planners can therefore benefit from this model.
The publication “Beauties of the Pharaohs” is also on display.

Ancient Egypt’s Queens of Heart Women, keepers of an enduring culture, were known for their magic and secrecy.
During the exhibition, the library also displayed the book “Tutankhamun. Pharaoh of Glory and Kholit,” written by Dr. Hussein Abdel-Basir. This book with photographs provides information about King Tutankhamun, his life, history, and most significant contributions.
The exhibition also includes the fifth issue of “Memory of the Arabs”.

The research topics in this issue range from various studies on the Mamluk equestrian manuscripts in the context of Arabic manuscripts and sources of equestrian history in the Mamluk era to shedding light on the siege tactics in the Mamluk marine state era for specialised researchers from Egyptians, Arabs, and foreigners.

The “Memory of Egypt” magazine, which is concerned with the heritage, identity, and history of Egypt, as well as the “Memory of the Arabs” magazine, which includes unique and varied topics that highlight the history of the Arabs and their diverse heritage, are among the most significant of these periodic releases. It is noteworthy that the library is singled out for a large area to display them.

Along with the “Abalabiya,” which features in-depth scientific investigation into the realm of writings and lines, and the “Coptic Foundations” series, which is concerned with the Coptic legacy.
