France has slaughtered more than 300,000 birds since August to limit the return of the spread of bird flu

More than 300,000 birds have been killed on French farms since the start of last August, according to the French Ministry of Agriculture, in an effort to prevent the early reemergence of bird flu.
The ministry said – according to the French “France Info TV” channel today, Wednesday / – that most of the confirmed cases are located in the west of France, especially in “Bilad Luwar” (it is an area in the center of western France and its capital is Nante), “Brotanani” and “Normandy “.

Between November and May, France saw the greatest bird flu outbreak in history. To stop the fatal bird flu strain from spreading to the major areas of western France where poultry are raised, agricultural authorities slaughtered more than 19 million birds.

It is interesting to note that the French government loosened the restrictions on bird flu last June following the disease’s predominance, prior to a significant rise in cases during the summer, which also affected large numbers of wild birds in coastal areas. Bird flu outbreaks have been reoccurring since the summer.

Since August, France has killed over 300,000 birds to prevent the spread of bird flu.
