Algeria and France announced the agreement to intensify their political dialogue and continue their joint efforts, in light of the continuous development witnessed by bilateral relations, for an urgent implementation of “the announcement of Algeria for a renewed partnership” between the two countries, which was signed by Algerian Presidents Abdel Majid Taboun, and the French Emmanuel Macron with the aim of upgrading the relationship Between the two countries to the level of the exceptional partnership that they decided to build.
This occurred during the discussions between French Foreign Minister Catherine Culona and Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtan Lamamra that took place today at the Algerian Foreign Ministry’s headquarters in the nation’s capital. Culona was in Algeria for the fifth session of the Algerian-French joint-level government committee.
The two ministers acknowledged their delight with the joint government committee’s fifth session, which resulted in the signing of more than ten collaboration mechanisms in a variety of disciplines, according to a statement from the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the statement, this meeting also allowed the heads of diplomacy of the two countries to review a number of current issues at the local and international levels, as well as various aspects of the Euro -Mediterranean partnership, and the relations between Algeria and the European Union.

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Europe and French Foreign Affairs has been tasked with overseeing the proper implementation of the agreements signed in Algeria and Paris as well as preparing all additional future (agreements), according to Colonna, which expressed satisfaction with the calibre of the “fruitful and friendly” talks with Lamamra.
France and Algeria have decided to further up their political exchanges and keep working toward a bilateral relationship.
