The US government retracts its call to investigate the death of the Palestinian child Ryan Suleiman

Al-Madina News: Rayan Suleiman, a young Palestinian boy of around 7 years old, was killed last week after being chased by Israeli occupation troops in the town of Tekoa, south of Bethlehem.
Rashida Tlaib, a representative, demanded an end to US military assistance to Israel on that particular day, September 29.

When asked about the kid’s death during a press conference, Vidant Patel, deputy spokeswoman for the US State Department, remarked, “The United States was very grieved to learn of the murder of an innocent Palestinian child.”

In remarks echoed by the Associated Press and Axios website, he added, “We support a comprehensive and immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding the child’s death,” in addition to an Israeli military investigation. However, headlines in foreign newspapers discussing an American investigation into the child’s death enraged the Israeli government, according to the newspaper.

As a result, the US State Department backtracked on its demand for a probe into the Palestinian child’s death.
I believe my remarks from the phone briefing last week were taken out of context, so I want to take a time to clarify them, Patel said. There was no investigation requested by us. We expressed our support for the probe, which the IDF has already confirmed is underway.

According to the most recent news, the infant unfortunately passed away from heart failure, which of course does not lessen the sadness of this. But it was evident from IDF statements on the subject that there was no connection from the outset and that the case was still being looked into. I’d like to direct you to them as a result, but first I wanted to clarify certain points.

Journalists questioned the spokesperson about the distinction between welcoming and supporting an investigation, as well as the significance of a youngster dying of a heart attack, in response to Patel’s comments.
In order to support the occupation’s claims that the Israeli raid on Rayan’s home was unrelated to the child’s death, the US State Department reportedly tried to synchronise its response to the child’s death.

The report stated that the US government levied a number of penalties against Iran as a result of the occurrence and linked the child’s situation to the loud American outcry over the killing of the Iranian young woman, Mahsa Amini.
It is obvious that the US State Department does not intend to take any action to hold Israel responsible, just as it has backed away from inquiries into the journalist Shireen Abu Akleh’s martyrdom.
