Milan drops Juventus and shares Napoli and Atalanta at the top of the league

Thanks to their thrilling 2-0 win over Juventus on Saturday in the ninth stage, defending champion AC Milan now shares the top spot in the Italian football league with Napoli and Atalanta.
At the San Siro stadium, Milan’s first goal was scored by English defender Fikayo Tomori in the 45th minute, while the second goal was scored by Spanish striker Ibrahim Diaz in the 54th minute.

Milan now has 20 points, which it shares with Napoli and Atalanta for the lead. Juventus, who had three victories and four draws entering the match, dropped to ninth place with 13 points after suffering its second loss.
At the top, Napoli and Atalanta can once again distance themselves from one other when Atalanta travels to meet its host Udinese and Napoli meets its host Cremonese on Sunday.
With two draws and one loss, Milan earned its sixth win of the year.

In the 199 previous Italian League meetings between Milan and Juventus, Juventus prevailed 77 times, Milan 59 times, and 63 of the games ended in draws.
The two teams have also faced off in 229 previous games across all competitions, with 90 triumphs for Juventus to Milan’s 66, and 73 games ending in draws.
