Yemeni army breaks Houthi attack west of Saada

Al-Madina News: The Yemeni army stopped a Houthi militia offensive on military facilities on Saturday in the western province of Saada, which serves as the movement’s main bastion.
The Houthi militia, which has Iranian support, conducted an assault operation against military installations in the Al Thabet Front, northwest of Saada Governorate, which was stopped by the Yemeni National Army forces, according to a brief statement from the army’s media department.

“”Armed elements with heavy artillery cover attacked the army’s positions on the Al Thabet front,” the statement cited a military source as saying.
The insider further said “The army’s heroes were keeping an eye out for those forces as they dealt with them, forcing them to escape and retreat after suffering casualties to both equipment and lives.

The combat periodically restarted on numerous fronts in the final days of October, after the truce came to an end and the UN failed to extend and expand it in response to the Houthi militia’s refusal.
After six months, the humanitarian ceasefire came to an end on October 2 as a result of the Houthis’ refusal to extend it.
