Georgians protest against the influx of Russians into their country

Al-Madina News: Following the announcement of a partial mobilisation on September 21 against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine, a rally against the return of Russian citizens to their homeland took place in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, on Friday.
The protesters, who had assembled in front of the parliament building, chanted for the closure of the crossings as they demanded an end to the influx of Russians into their nation.

The protesters hoisted placards criticising Russian President Vladimir Putin as well as the flags of the European Union and the Ukraine.
Along with singing the Ukrainian national anthem, they demonstrated their solidarity for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia.
Participants vowed to continue the protest until the government complied with their demands and emphasised how seriously dangerous the inflow of Russians into their nation is.

According to official data released by the Georgian Interior Ministry, there were approximately 78,742 Russians who entered the nation between September 23 and 27.
