The Ukrainian presidency refers to “Russian involvement” in the explosion on the Crimean bridge

The Ukrainian presidency said on Saturday that “Russian influence” was involved in the explosion that damaged the Crimean bridge connecting Russia with the peninsula and that it was motivated by a power struggle within Moscow’s leadership circles.
“It is important to point out that the truck that detonated appears to have come from the Russian side of the bridge. Answers should be sought in Russia because everything points to Russian involvement “.

Three deaths have so far been discovered in connection with a truck explosion on the Kerch bridge connecting Russia and Crimea, according to the Russian Investigative Committee on Saturday.
As soon as car traffic started on the Crimean bridge connecting Russia with the peninsula after it was destroyed by a significant explosion early on Saturday, trains began running again, according to the Russian operator.

Two trains departed the peninsula in the evening for Moscow and Saint Petersburg, according to the firm “Grand Service Express,” which runs trains between Crimea and Russia. The company stated on Telegram that “the two trains will cross the Crimean Bridge.”
According to the official Russian news agency (TASS), on Saturday, Russian President Vladimir Putin authorised the creation of a government commission to investigate the explosion of the Kerch bridge in the Crimea.

The decision came after Putin received reports from Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Ministers of Emergency Situations and Transport, and security agencies regarding the Crimean Bridge explosion.
A Russian official on the peninsula annexed by Moscow blamed what he described as “Ukrainian saboteurs” for the incident.

According to analysts and observers of Russian affairs, Russia’s responses will be focused on further military escalation, particularly that failing to respond to this action in the necessary and suitable manner will cause such occurrences to occur frequently.
The longest bridge in Europe between Crimea and Krasnodar Krai is the Crimean Bridge, often known as the Kerch Strait Bridge.
The bridge spans 19 kilometres and is made up of two parallel spans, one for rail traffic and the other for automotive traffic (12 mi).

A multibillion dollar contract was inked in January 2015 to build the bridge. He started construction on the bridge in May 2015. It was completed on May 15, 2018, and the railway connection is anticipated to be finished in early 2019.
On October 1, 2018, the Kerch Bridge was open for truck traffic before it was supposed to.
The idea for the Kerch Bridge dates back to at least 1903, but serious development for it didn’t start until 2014, following Russia’s takeover of Crimea.

The multibillion dollar bridge building contract was given to Arkady Rothenberg’s Stroezemantz Corporation in January 2015.
The bridge was built beginning in February 2016, and Russian President Vladimir Putin officially opened it on May 15, 2018, on May 16 for vehicles and on October 1 for trucks.

The railway bridge went into service on December 23, 2019, the first passenger train began travelling across it on December 25, and the bridge will open to freight trains on July 1 of the following year.

The explosion on the Crimean bridge was “Russian participation,” according to the Ukrainian presidency.
