According to the Sputnik news agency, Russian President Dmitry Peskov revealed that President Putin has given urgent instructions to form a government commission to address the issue on the Crimean bridge.

In a related matter, Sergei Aksionov, the president of Crimea, declared that the accident caused a portion of the road to collapse on the bridge, which caused the dismemberment of the portion extending from the Taman area to the Crimea. He added that the other portion of the road was safe, passable, and unharmed.
According to Aksionov, an investigation into the disaster is ongoing, and a team has been assembled to assist the stranded people on both sides of the bridge.

The Crimean Railways Authority said today, Saturday, that there were no recorded injuries as a result of a fire in a fuel tank over the Crimean bridge.
The authority confirmed that no casualties were reported as a result of the accident and said that the fire started in a fuel tank that was at the back of a freight train that was crossing the bridge.
The authority emphasised that the accident caused a temporary suspension of rail traffic over the bridge.
The Russian National Anti-Terrorism Service earlier today disclosed that a truck explosion occurred during the passage of a train hauling gasoline tanks over the “Crimean Bridge” (the Kerch Strait bridge), which connects the Crimean Peninsula with the Russian mainland.
“Today, between six and seven in the morning, a vehicle was detonated on the Qurum Bridge, during the passage of a train carrying fuel tanks, which resulted in the fire of seven of them,” the authorities stated in a statement.
