King, Coll and Landers-Murphy through to doubles squash semis

Joelle King and Paul Coll, a mixed couple, have advanced to the Commonwealth Games squash semi-finals after defeating Scotland in straight games.
They defeated Georgia Adderly and Rory Stewart 7-11 9-11 to advance to the semi-finals on Sunday morning NZT.
Meanwhile, King and Amanda Landers-Murphy advanced to the semi-finals by defeating England’s Georgina Kennedy and Lucy Turmel 11-8 11-8. On Sunday, there will also be a game versus Malaysia.

The other competitors are Kaitlyn Watts and Abbie Palmer, who will take on Botswana in the quarterfinals of the plate after falling to Scotland 0-2 on Thursday.
The brothers Temwa and Lwamba Chileshe lost to Malaysia 1-2 in the men’s doubles round of 16 match overnight.
