1 dead, 1 in hospital following shooting in Alberta hamlet

The RCMP reports that its serious crimes team is looking into a drive-by shooting that claimed the life of a 36-year-old man and injured a woman in Langdon, Alberta.
They claimed that the victims were picked on. Police claimed there is no threat to the public, even though they did not specify if they had identified a suspect or suspects.

On Friday, there were reports of gunfire in the hamlet east of Calgary, and RCMP officers were dispatched there.
According to the police, witnesses near Boulder Creek Way reported hearing gunshots at around 4:30 p.m.
Initially, they claimed that the incident may have resulted in injuries to an adult male and adult female.
There were two victims in their 30s, according to AHS EMS.

They said that one victim had passed away and that a woman had received two to three gunshot wounds before being taken to a hospital in Calgary, although they added that they were unsure of the woman’s condition.
Shortly after the report was received, STARS Air Ambulance sent a helicopter to the area, which was spotted in a Langdon neighbourhood.
