The United Nations is discussing with Moscow the extension of the food deal

According to “Russia Today,” it was reported in Moscow that Martin Griffiths, the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Rebecca Greenspan, the Secretary-General of the World Trade Organization Conference, will visit Russia in a week to discuss the extension of the food agreement.

In order to increase the effort to ship grain through the Black Sea and remove barriers to the sale of Russian grain and fertiliser, Antonio Guterres’ team is working, according to Stephane Dujarric, the spokesperson for the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
Rebecca Greenspan and Martin Griffith are anticipated to come in Moscow in about a week to meet with Russian officials and talk about these issues, he said, according to “Novosti Agency.”

Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, had earlier stated that Moscow anticipates UN attempts to end Western restrictions on Russian grain and fertiliser.
Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed that sanctions were hindering the export of Russian grain and fertiliser and that the West was to blame for the world’s deteriorating food crisis.

The UN and Moscow are speaking about extending the food agreement.
