Sudan’s new ambassador to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization

The Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization, Robert Floyd, received the credentials that Ambassador Magdi Ahmed Mufaddal delivered on Friday as the permanent representative of Sudan to the organisation.

The ambassador expressed Sudan’s aspiration to strengthen its relations with the organisation, particularly in the areas of training and capacity building, as well as Sudan’s desire to host activities Regional organisation of the organisation in the country to introduce nuclear weapons to the public. The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the ambassador affirmed Sudan’s readiness to support the organization’s efforts in combating nuclear tests and preventing the spread of nuclear weapons.

Robert Floyd, in turn, welcomed the collaboration between the organisation and Sudan and declared his willingness to keep working together and offer further assistance. He emphasised the ambassador’s suggestion to organise some activities in Sudan and pledged to research it as part of his work plan for the upcoming time period. He also accepted the ambassador’s invitation to travel to the nation.
