France urges its citizens to leave Iran

The French Foreign Ministry stated on its website that “any French tourist, including those with dual citizenship, is at significant danger of arrest, arbitrary detention, and unfair trials.”
This week, after holding two of its people prisoner and releasing a video on Thursday in which they confess to espionage, Iran came under fire from France. Tehran has been experiencing turmoil for several weeks, which it attributes to “foreign adversaries.”
Earlier on Friday, the French Foreign Ministry urged Iran to free its citizens on Monday.
