The Kremlin: The format for Russia’s participation in the G20 summit is still undetermined

Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for the Russian presidency, declared that his nation will attend the “Group of Twenty” meeting but noted that the specifics of participation had not yet been decided.
The nature of Russia’s participation in the summit has not yet been decided, the Russian spokesman stated in a statement to the Russian news agency “Sputnik” today, Friday.

Earlier, the Indonesian ambassador to the United Arab Emirates was quoted by Russian media as claiming that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin had agreed to attend the G20 conference, which will take place in the resort of Bali in November.

The International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the United Kingdom, the United States, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Argentina, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Australia, Brazil, Canada, and China make up the G20. The European Union also participates in the group.

Following the financial crises of the 1990s, the organisation was founded in 1999 at the suggestion of the Group of Seven summit to bring together the main industrialised nations and emerging economies.

The Kremlin: Russia’s involvement in the G20 summit will likely take a variety of forms.
