Who is the leader of ISIS Abu Hayel, who was killed by US forces in Syria?

ISIS’s inability to defend its leaders and members, who are occasionally targeted by US forces and the international coalition forces, is a blatant sign of its weakness.
The US Central Command reported on Thursday night that an ISIS member in charge of importing weapons had been killed during an operation by US soldiers in northeastern Syria.

According to a Central Command statement, Rakan Waheed al-Shammari (also known as Abu Hail), an ISIS official known for facilitating the smuggling of weapons and fighters to support ISIS operations, was the target of a helicopter raid last night by US Central Command forces in northeastern Syria close to the village of Qamishli. The victim died during the procedure. The target and one of his conspirators were injured, while the US soldiers captured two further conspirators.

The landing operation, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, took place near the village of Molouk Saray, 17 kilometres south of Qamishli in the Hasaka area.
The soldiers in charge of the landing operation used loudspeakers to alert the locals to the need for everyone to get inside and turn out the lights.

The observatory further stated that the landing operation resulted in the arrest of the leader of “the headquarters of the Military Security Supporters,” as well as the arrest of the victim’s family and another family.
An ISIS officer was killed, another was hurt, and two more were detained, a US official claimed earlier, according to Reuters, following a rare US helicopter raid on a community under government control in northeastern Syria.

According to the official, the ISIS member who was the target of the raid beheaded two members of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces.
“The American forces succeeded in killing Abu Alaa, one of the five major leaders in ISIS and the organization’s deputy leader, and the raid also succeeded in killing Abu Muath al-Qahtani, the official in charge of prisoner affairs in the group,” he said in statements to a source in the Pentagon with Al-Hurra.

According to the Pentagon official, neither civilian nor American force deaths were reported during the raid against Abu Ala and al-Qahtani, which took place on Thursday night (Syrian time).
He went by the moniker Abu Hayel, was a leader in the group, served as their mother, and was previously accused of killing an American officer.

Rakan Waheed al-Shammari was in charge of supporting ISIS’s weapons smuggling operations and is from a hamlet in northern Hasaka.
Abu Hail was present in the neighbourhood where he was targeted two years ago in the role of “sheep shepherd,” but over time he gained popularity and started giving the locals money.
The Syrian Military Security Brigades protected the ISIS leader since they were able to solidify their relationship with him.

Samer Al-Ahmad, a journalist and analyst of events in northeastern Syria, claimed in an exclusive statement to Akhbar Alan that the operation was based on intelligence provided by his cousin, who was detained a week ago during a security operation in Iraq.
At 4:00 am local time on Thursday, the US landing operation that was focused on Abu Hail in Hasaka came to a conclusion.

Early in September, the observatory had written about a landing operation by the international coalition forces against ISIS, which included the Syrian Democratic Forces, in Deir ez-Zor, where they made two arrests.
ISIS members and commanders are occasionally the focus of landing operations in Syria by the US-led coalition forces.
