In a second US strike in Syria, a prominent ISIS leader was killed

The Pentagon reported on Thursday that US soldiers launched a second attack on the extremist group ISIS in Qamishli, northeastern Syria.
According to comments made by a Pentagon officer to the Al-Hurra website, the second American strike killed Abu Muath al-Qahtani, also known as Abu Ala, a top ISIS leader.

Additionally, the US Central Command reported earlier on Thursday evening that an ISIS member in charge of importing weapons had been killed during an operation by US soldiers in northeastern Syria.
According to a Central Command statement, Rakan Waheed al-Shammari (also known as Abu Hail), an ISIS official known for facilitating the smuggling of weapons and fighters to support ISIS operations, was the target of a helicopter raid last night by US Central Command forces in northeastern Syria close to the village of Qamishli.

The victim died during the procedure. the target and one of his conspirators were injured, while US forces apprehended two further conspirators.
The landing operation occurred in the village of Molouk Saray, 17 kilometres south of Qamishli in the Hasaka region, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The soldiers in charge of the landing operation used loudspeakers to alert the locals to the need for everyone to get inside and turn out the lights.

The observatory further stated that the landing operation resulted in the arrest of the leader of “the headquarters of the Military Security Supporters,” as well as the arrest of the victim’s family and another family.
An ISIS officer was killed, another was hurt, and two more were detained, a US official claimed earlier, according to Reuters, following a rare US helicopter raid on a community under government control in northeastern Syria.

According to the official, the ISIS member who was the target of the raid beheaded two members of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces.
He made the following claims to a source in the Pentagon: “American troops succeeded in murdering Abu Moaz al-Qahtani (Abu Alaa), one of the five senior commanders in ISIS and the organization’s deputy head who was in charge of prisoner relations.

“The raid that targeted Abu Alaa al-Qahtani took place on Thursday night, Syrian time, and no civilian casualties or casualties among the American soldiers were reported,” the Pentagon spokesman continued.

Another US strike in Syria resulted in the death of a top ISIS leader.
