WhatsApp introduces a new feature to protect users’ privacy

The instant messaging service WhatsApp is working on a new feature that forbids users from screenshotting certain chats. WhatsApp aims to improve user privacy using this function.
The updated function forbids users from taking screenshots of films and images they submit in the “View Once” or “One Time” format.

The instant messaging app, used by more than two billion users, is working on a new version that incorporates this capability, according to WaBetaInfo, which monitors WhatsApp developments.
He continued by saying that some beta testers have already had access to this capability.
Additionally, early this year WhatsApp introduced the ability to see photographs and videos only once before they vanish from the receiver’s side.

Although the instant messaging programme that underlies this service aimed to increase user anonymity, it had one flaw—the ability to take a picture of it. However, the new feature, whose implementation date is unknown, aims to close this gap.

WhatsApp releases a new function to safeguard users’ privacy.
