This is why Google has disabled the translation service in China

Due to poor usage in China, the American business “Google” said today, Monday, that it had discontinued the translation service there.
According to Bloomberg, a Google representative said: “We have discontinued Google Translate in mainland China owing to poor usage.”
With this decision, Google has stopped supporting one of the handful of its services that is still available in China.

Following this decision, the Google Translate website is now rerouting users to a Hong Kong-based Google Translate page that isn’t accessible in mainland China.
The Chinese government’s restriction of online information has prevented the Google search engine from operating in China since 2010, while the Chinese have had access to the American company’s translation tool since 2017.

Google has disabled the translation function in China due to this.
