Danish police arrest a knife-wielding man at the Iranian embassy

The individual, an Iranian national, was stopped by an embassy staffer before entering the structure, the police added.
In light of the incident, Iranian media reported that the Iranian Foreign Ministry has summoned the Danish ambassador to Tehran following the attack on the Iranian embassy in Copenhagen.

“It is regrettable that such an incident took place in the heart of Europe, against a woman and an ambassador who enjoys diplomatic immunity, and the police did not come in time,” said Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, according to the media.
The guy will be charged with two charges of vandalism, violence, and violating the penal code in connection with offences against individuals with diplomatic status when he makes an appearance before the Copenhagen City Court on Saturday for a hearing.

The incident was not further described by Danish police.

At the Iranian embassy, Danish police detain a man brandishing a knife.
