Poll: Most Germans are dissatisfied with their country’s economic situation

According to a survey conducted by the German television network ARD, the vast majority of people are unhappy with the nation’s economic position and are more displeased now than they were in 2008 following the global financial crisis.
Four out of five Germans, or 80%, express a poor opinion of the country’s economic situation, with 47% rating it as “less good” and 33% as “terrible.”

In comparison to 2009, when the “Infratest dimap” poll evaluated people’ unhappiness following the beginning of the global crisis, the channel regarded that a record number.
The study also revealed that 85% of Germans are concerned about the situation, a 34% increase from the previous such survey in 2020 and a record-low since measures began in 1997.

53% of respondents predict that Germany’s economy will be in worse shape than it is right now in a year, 32% predict that it will remain constant, and only 12% predict that it will get better.
1,307 people participated in the survey, which was conducted from October 3 to October 5, and it had an error rate of up to 3%.

Most Germans, according to a poll, are unhappy with the state of the economy in their nation.
