Macron announces the creation of a fund worth 100 million euros for Ukraine to buy weapons

Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, declared that his nation has established a fund for Ukraine with a 100 million euro initial value so that it can directly buy the weapons and other supplies it requires in its conflict with Russia.

The French president said at a press conference following the European Union summit in Prague on Friday: “We are establishing this special fund, earmarked for an initial amount of 100 million, to allow the acquisition of equipment that we have already sent, and we will continue to do so with regard to weapons.” This refers to defence mechanisms.

More precise, truck-mounted Raz (Cesar) cannons have been discussed, in particular with Denmark, according to him. This is in addition to the 18 cannons it has previously given Ukraine.
