US National Security Council: China moves military to respond to Pelosi’s visit

The US National Security Council stated on Monday that China is acting militarily in response to US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit, emphasising that Washington’s attitude regarding Taiwan has not changed.
In reaction to the visit of US President Donald Trump, China would take all necessary steps to preserve its sovereignty and territorial integrity, according to Hua Chunying, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

The US National Security Council went on to say, “We will not be duped by the Chinese trap, and Beijing’s bluster and threats will not scare us.”
