Ukraine: The death toll of the Russian army has risen to 61,680 since the start of the military operation

The Ukrainian army said today, on Friday, that 61,680 Russian servicemen have died since the military action began on February 24.
According to the Ukrainian news agency (Ukrinform), the Russian military also lost 2,466 tanks, 5,933 armoured vehicles, 1,455 artillery systems, 344 multiple launcher systems, 266 aircraft, 233 helicopters, and 1,067 drones during this time.

A pilot, 15 warships, 135 pieces of specialised gear, 3,862 automobiles, and fuel tanks.
Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, issued an order to launch a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24 in response to a request for aid from the leaders of the Donbass republics.

In response, the United States and its allies imposed harsh sanctions and expanded their shipments of armaments to Ukraine. Putin emphasised that Moscow had no aspirations to invade Ukrainian land but instead aspired for disarmament.

Since the start of the military campaign in Ukraine, the Russian army has lost 61,680 lives.
